The crossover market is on the rise in India and many companies are making their participation in the country to win over each other. The latest among the companies which has entered the ground of competition is the Maruti Suzuki Vitara. The car's image has been unveiled by now and there are strong possibilities that the company may launch the car at the ongoing Moscow Motor Show. The car is based on the iV-4 concept which was first demoed to at the Frankfurt Motor Show in the year 2013.
The car is getting publicized as the successor of the S-Cross and a companion of the upcoming SX4 S-Cross in India. However, the SX4 S-Cross is now a competitor of the cars like Nissan Qashqai and other big vehicles. Mechanically, the engine of the Vitara could be powered by a 1.6 Litre power house with both petrol and diesel fuel options and all-wheel drive system as well. However, there hasn't been any information about the features of the of the car as only one image has been launched by the company so far.
The Maruti Suzuki is a company which has delivered big in the small car segment in India and now there are trying to make their presence feel in the crossover market as well. But, the path is not going to be easy as it will compete against the likes of the Toyota Etios Cross, Volkswagen Polo, Ford EcoSport and the upcoming Fiat Avventura as well.
