Maruti S-Cross Early Buyers Receive INR 90,000 Refund Amount Plus Warranty

The Renowned Indian carmaker, Maruti Suzuki is offering a token of gratitude to its valued customers. It has come into notice that the company is refunding up to INR 90,000 to its customers own the 1.6-litre variant of Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. Additionally, the company is also offering them a extended warranty of up to two years for no cost. However, the customers who own the 1.3-litre variant S-Cross are liable to receive the the extended warranty and no refund. Recently, Maruti slashed the price of the S-Cross model by up to Rs 2.05 lakh w.e.f January this year, therefore, the company wants to return the extra amount paid by the customers.

Moreover, the refund depends on the discounts that were availed by the buyer at the time of purchasing the car before January 2016. The company launched the S-Cross after phasing out the SX4 sedan in August 2015. At the time of launch, the car was available in a price range of INR 8.34-13.74 lakh (ex-showroom). But, the car couldn’t receive much demands due to the high price. Later on,the company decided to slash the price in order to boost the sales.

Maruti Issues Refunds To S-Cross Early Buyers

Interestingly, this is the first time move by any automaker, who is intended to return the hard earned money of its customers because it believes that the money is all theirs and they deserve the refund.

According to a company spokesperson, “This is just a token of gratitude for customers who showed their faith in us at the start and embraced our new initiatives. Without the support and confidence of these early buyers last year, we could never have achieved success in these new initiatives.”
