Maruti Suzuki has been in the news for bringing up a new mid-sized car in the market under the sedan niche of the car. The car is Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the launch month of the car has been confirmed by the company The Ciaz will be out in the market in the month of September, that will also mark the start of the festive season in India. The bookings will start with a few days, that is, first week of August.
The car is known as Alivio in the Chinese market and is a huge hit there. The car will be powered by 1.4 Litre K-series 4-cylinder petrol engine which will churn out 95 PS power and 130 Nm of torque. There would be a diesel variant as well with 1.3 Litre very famous multijet engine which will belt out 90 PS power and 200 Nm of torque as well. The petrol version will come with the 5-speed manual gear box or CVT may also feature, but the diesel one will come only in the manual transmission gearbox. The car will also have the features like 16-inch multi spoke alloy wheels, engine start button, multifunction steering wheel, rear AC vents, ABS, EBD and dual air bags as well.

The price of the car will be between INR 7.5 – 9.7 Lac ex-showroom and, I guess, with this price range the cars like Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid, Honda City and Toyota Corolla would get tough competition and people will get one more option for the brain-storming.
