Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Seems to Render with CVT at Bangkok Show

Maruti Suzuki has already launched the Ciaz in the Indian and Chinese market, which is getting noteworthy profits from the customers. Now, the manufacturer has planned to relaunch this vehicle along with new CVT gearbox instead of a 4-speed automatic transmission, which is expected to make its first appearance at the upcoming 36th Bangkok Motor Show that would start from 24th March. Talking about the Indian spec car, it is available with a 1.4 litre four cylinder K-Series petrol engine producing power of 92.45 PS and torque of 130 NM. This mill is offered with 4AT as well as a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Coming to the Chinese version, where the runabout is known as Alivio and includes an outstanding body figure and powerful mechanical features. Design wise, this mid size sedan gets a sunroof, chrome rich grille and dual exhaust to render a captivating aspects for everyone at a peep. Mechanically, it is powered by a 1.6 litre petrol engine, which is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission to transfer the power to its wheels.

The Ciaz is also available in diesel variant in both of these markets and in India, the vehicle is machined with a 1.3 litres Multijet oil burner that churns out power of 90 PS as well as torque of 200 Nm and get paired only to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Its diesel model is unlikely to be introduced in Thailand and yet, it will come only with petrol variant.
