Maruti Suzuki Swift Diesel AMT Might Come in October 2015

India's most prominent car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch its all-season hatchback Swift car in an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) system mode, for diesel version only though. Well, if this possibility sees the light of the day, then surely Maruti Suzuki Swift Diesel AMT will be the most affordable car in the segment and will replace the recently launched Tata Zest which is doing awesome in sales. Although, this AMT is not new for the company as it has already been used on its Celerio and Alto K10 models. And, if we talk about a specific reason behind this AMT strategy, then it could be for boosting sales of the Swift which has gone down after the bad cars test results of the car.

About the launch time, it's believed that the car would be launched during the festive season that is in September-October as per the claimed reports till now. Well, this new option would be the rival of other car arriving on horizon like Hyundai Elite i20, Fiat Punto Evo and others as well.

The AMT system manufacturer would be the Italian firm Magneti Marelli which also is planning to setup its own manufacturing facility in India to meet the demands of its clients. Also, the price of the AMT version not shoot up to the sky, but only a matter of few thousands INR.
