Mercedes-Benz CLA Facelift to Make debut at New York Auto Show

The German automaker, Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its facelifted CLA, which consists of both Standard and Shooting Brake. While the company is planning to make an official debut of Standard CLA at the upcoming 2016 New York Auto Show, the launch of CLA Shooting Brake could happen at the occasion of Laureus World Sports Awards in Berlin, scheduled on April 18. The changes have occurred with its cosmetic design that spreads to both exterior and interior portions.  

Starting with the design, a new diamond radiator grille in black and restyled bumper with a silver, black and chrome highlight have been tweaked at the front fascia, while the rear end gets re-profiled bumper integrated with an exhaust. You can operate the trunk open and close just swiping your legs under the bumper.

Inside the cabin, the New York facelift model comes attached with new upholstery, revamped switchgear and instrument cluster. Besides, the company has also offered some optional features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity supported with 8-inch free-standing COMAND infotainment display.

Under the hood, the line-up is available with a 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre, four cylinder engines that generates power starting from 122 Bhp and goes up to 381 Bhp in its CLA 45 AMG. On the other hand, a diesel engine powered by Renault-sourced 1.5-litre, four cylinder engine, which is good for 109 Bhp of power.

Well, all the other details will be disclosed with its debut at the NewYork Auto Show, which will be held on March 23. The India bound updates are expected to launch in sometime later in 2016 or might be in early 2017.
