Mercedes-Benz E-Class E Edition Launched in India at INR 48.50 Lacs

Celebrating the glorious 20 years of E-Class model production in India, Mercedes-Benz has launched its all-new E Class - E Edition today. The automaker has come up with 11 production line up this year and the E-class E Edition is one of them. The company claims that the E-class model has completed its longest manufacturing tenure in the country. The production of the E-class luxury model started in 1995 and thereafter the company has successfully sold over 32,000 units in India. Globally, the automaker has managed to sell around 13 million units of E-Class sedan.

The 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan is based on a completely new and fresh concept. The car is modern and offers ultra luxury features. Presently, the Indian-spec Edition E is available with three engine choices, namely the 2.2-litre diesel, 2.0-litre petrol, and the 3.0-litre diesel power mill. The 2.2-litre diesel units pumps out power of 201 bhp and peak torque of 500Nm, the 2.0-litre petrol delivers 181bhp and 300Nm, and the 3.0-litre diesel delivers 261 bhp and 620 Nm of torque. Additionally, the luxury sedan comes featured with a new Telematics multimedia system, a reverse camera, and the latest Garmin MAP PILOT navigation.

The variant-wise price details of 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class (ex-showroom, Delhi) are:

E 200 -        INR 48.50 lakh
E 250 CDI - INR 50.70 lakh
E 350 CDI - INR 59.90 lakh
