Mercedes Benz S Class Cabriolet Design Sketch Released

The upcoming S-Class Cabriolet from Mercedes, which is soon going to debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September, has been revealed in a sketch. The automaker has officially released the sketch of this model highlighting a retractable roof. While the car was caught testing, it was spotted with its roof on. However, the released image showcases the model in a topless avatar thereby revealing the interior portions. Positioned along the S-Class models, this Cabriolet will borrow its design cues from the recently introduced S-Class coupe. It is going to be the first convertible vehicle with a 4-seat configuration in its family.

The mechanical configuration has not been disclosed yet by the company, but market speculations indicate that the engine employed in the recently launched coupe might be offered with the upcoming Cabriolet. The top spec model is likely to be offered with two powertrain options utilised by the coupe and sedan in the S-Class range. These include a 5.5 litre, V8 unit delivering 585 Bhp and 900 Nm along side a 6 litre, V12 unit that pumps out 621 Bhp and 100 Nm of output.

This car features a fabric soft top, white colored leather upholstery with sporty seats and a stylish flat steering wheel. It is likely to carry all the modern equipments meant for ensuring the comfort and luxury of the occupants. The sketch itself looks so appealing that it increases the curiosity quotient as to what other features will be equipped in this convertible beauty.
