2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Introduced Priced At Rs. 1.33 crores

2018 Mercedes-Benz S-class launched in the country priced at Rs. 1.33 crores(ex-showroom, India). The S450 petrol S-Class is available pricing Rs. 1.37 crores and is replaced by the Mercedes-Maybachs. The W222 is the new generation car introduced in January 2014 in the country and proved to be one of the most successful super-luxury sedans here. The facelift of the W222 gets a sportier front bumper, a wider grille, a new front fascia, and reworked headlamps.

The LED signature has been revised considering the single strip to triple strips and obtains the intelligent Multibeam LED headlamps. Some minor changes also take place in the profile including a rear view of the car, a new set of alloy-wheel designs, and a new rear bumper.
Coming to the cabin, it takes two large TFT screens, the wood-paneled dashboard, COMAND system with the rotary-fob, touch-panel, adjustable electrical with memory function, four-zone climate control, steering mounted controls, electrically operated panoramic sunroof, and Interior wrapped in leathers.

Other additions get a high-quality Burmester music system, a specialized air balance package, a special scent branded by Mercedes-Benz, a seven-coloured LED ambient light system, heated armrests, a Hot Stone Massage system, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and AIRMATIC suspension with Magic Body Control. The car, S350d is powered by a new six-cylinder diesel engine producing 286bhp of power and 600Nm of torque and comes mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox.

The S450 takes power from the 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine generating 367bhp of power and 500Nm of torque and comes mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. The S-Class is the example at a global level in terms of safety along with the provided suite of driver aids and the radar-based assists which will help the performance and luxury feature unrestrained. In the market, the car will go against the Jaguar XJ L, Lexus LS500h limousines, Range Rover Sport, BMW 7 Series, Toyota Land Cruiser, Porsche Cayenne and Audi A8.
