Mercedes Launches the AMG GT R and the AMG GT Roadster in India

Mercedes Benz India has launched the multi-circuit lap record holder the AMG GT R along with its convertible version the AMG GT Roadster in India. The former is available on sale at Rs 2.23 crore (all India ex-showroom). While, the latter carries the price tag of INR 2.19 crore (all India ex-showroom).

The high-performance version of the AMG GT sports car, the AMG GT R has taken a spot in the top ranks at the Green Hell a.k.a the Nurburgring by breaking the lap record at the Buddh International Circuit by over 2 seconds. The fitment of the new moveable aero bits have not only boosted the car’s ability to stick the ground but also made its go-faster agile. These bits include a moveable floor and a new diffuser as well as the bespoke Michelins and rear wheel-steering assist also added to the package.

Beneath the front end, the Mercedes AMG GT R is equipped with a 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 engine that has been electronically tuned to generate 578 bhp along with 699 Nm of torque.
