Monkey Menace: An Incarnation of the Honda Z50

Even after having various super sports motorcycles in the two-wheeler industry, the love for the old decade motorcycles can never be betrayed. And, after having a look over the Monkey Menace, I have never thought that someone could re-define the craziness in this way. Back in 1960's, there happens to be a motorcycle named as Honda Z50, a very popular monkey motorcycle with a kid sized body. Rest of the world is busy re-designing or customizing the memorable cruisers or well-famed motorcycles of their days, but this guy has come-up with a really new concept.

Meet, Mr. Nick Sawyer, the guy who re-stored the madness behind the designing and style acquired by the Monkey Menace. The guy from Australia started his journey by placing an order for the motorcycle frame on eBay and then he began collecting various other components from Japan. The major upgrades done by the custom-maker comprises of larger valves, lightweight stator and a remapped CDI. Instead of using the decades old 50cc motor, Mr. Sawyer has replaced it with an 117cc displaced engine, which is capable to deliver a maximum power of 15 BHP; pretty much equivalent to the Honda CBR125R.

The Monkey Menace has the capability to touch a maximum speed of 130 KMPH, making it almost leg-to-leg with the existing sports motorcycles available in the market. For the engine sound, you should have to check the chubby-styled exhaust tail, catered by Yoshimura. The double sized Mikuni VM26 is accompanied by stock carb. The Mikuni VM26 is then further accompanied by an oil-cooler to maintain the normal temperature.

Talking about the cosmetic details, the Monkey Menace is making its appearance as a cuddly cafe-racer. The small and adorable tyres with raised tyre-huggers, round-shaped headlamp and designer fuel tank accompanied with leather seat surely work as a real head-turner. Of-course, it will be giving you a solo riding experience, but isn't it sounds amazing.
