Much Anticipated Honda BR-V Set To Be Launched on May 5, 2016

According to a recent report from MotorOctane, Honda’s all new compact SUV named BR-V is all scheduled to be launched in the Indian market on May 5, 2016. This year Honda also launched the facelift version of Amaze, so this is going to be the second offering from the Japanese automaker. Honda BR-V was also showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, where it got noticed for its amazing exterior design. It is likely to replace the Honda Mobilio as the new BR-V is modern and offers great features.

The all new 7-seater Honda BR-V is based on Honda Brio platform and will be be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox and also offers CVT option as well. The 1.5-litre diesel engine variant also comes paired to a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox. Once launched, the BR-V will be seen competing with close rivals like Nissan Terrano, Hyundai Creta, and Renault duster.

Honda BR-V offers a good ground clearance along with a dynamic exterior design. Dimensionally, the new Honda BR-V measures 4,455 mm in length, 1735 mm in width, 1650 mm in height, including a 2660 mm-long wheelbase. The interior also gets new instrument cluster and the steering wheel identical to the Jazz model.The second-row seats of Honda BR-V will get one-touch tumble feature, while the third row seats offer a 50:50 split, usually used to increase the boot space of the car.

After including the CVT option, Honda is trying to conquer the market with the fuel efficient car. The much anticipated crossover BR-V from Honda will overshadow many non-performing cars in the segment such as Honda Mobilio. Looking forward to witness its performance post launch.
