MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Introduced with Semi-Auto Clutch Technology

Noted Italian performance bike maker, MV Agusta has introduced its flagship sports tourer, the Turismo Veloce with newly developed semi-auto clutch technology. Packed with this tech, the version is branded as the Turismo Veloce Lusso 800 SCS, even the company is asking for an additional INR 1.6 lakhs over the previous model that makes it available to purchase at EUR 21,390 (Rs 17 lakhs).

The semi-auto clutch technology came to the light in association with American component manufacturer, Rekluse. The technology enables gear shifting without using the clutch, however, the motorcycle gets the clutch lever. The Smart Clutch System automatically engages and disengages depending upon the speed of the engine. Also, it prevents the motorcycle’s roll over in the standstill position. Furthermore, the system provides the aids of two modes including the automatic and manual. In manual mode, the rider can use the clutch for gear shifting.

As a propelling heart, MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso 800 SCS is continued with the same 798cc triple engine. In conjunction with a six-speed gearbox, the mill is capable of generating 108bhp along with 80Nm of torque. The suspension setup comprises Sachs sourced unit at both the front and rear end. The electronic package for the Turismo Veloce Lusso 800 SCS includes eight-level traction control, four engine maps and ABS.

Additionally, the Turismo Veloce Lusso 800 SCS can get the dual tone colour options of red/grey and white/grey. Initially, the technology is being provided with the Turismo Veloce Lusso 800 SCS which will later be shared with other products in MV Agusta lineup.
