In spite of unveiling a teaser video and posters of the new Jazz, Honda has again teased out this next generation model in another video in the same ongoing month. The released video has been shot in New York to render a designing cue of the American variant, where its current model is available with a 1.5 litre four cylinder i-VTEC engine producing power of 130 PS. However, in India, the car will be powered by a 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol engine and the same engine is used in the Brio and Amaze to churn out power of 85 PS.
On the other hand, its oil burner variant will borrow the engine from the City, a 1.5 litre i-DTEC units. Whereas the latter one will be mated only to a manual transmission, the former one will also get a CVT automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Coming to the other features, which have already been revealed in teasers before some days, showing a new touchscreen infotainment system, including Bluetooth and navigation, touch intuitive system with automatic climate control system, steering mounted control inside the cabin.
However, the exterior looks awesome along with the stunning alloy wheels and latest foglights. Honda will send the new generation Jazz under production in Rajasthan at its Tapukara plant soon and the car will be launched in July, 2015 as per the official confirmation unveiled in a poster on its social media channel.
Expected to be priced between INR 5 Lac to INR 8 Lac, it is all set to take on the likes of the Tata Bolt, VW Polo, Hyundai Elite i20, Fiat Punto Evo and Maruti Swift.
