Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest four wheeler manufacturer has recently introduced the new S-cross in the country. And now with the emerged set of spy images of new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is hinting that company is working hard to introduce the improved version of MPV anytime soon in future. Well, it is the first time when the new Ertiga test mule captured on camera executing test runs on Indian roads.
The test mule was heavily camouflaged and having pseudo cladding that the design and new attributes at skin cannot be determined. Still, it is a longer 7 seat version as compared to the ongoing model that will offer much space inside the cabin. The silhouette of the new Ertiga is all similar to the regular model and changes that can be considered from the spy images is slightly bigger tailgate and expected a new set of LED taillights. Under the covering, we can also expect the next year Ertiga model could be embellished with a revived set of headlamps, grille, and OVRMs. Other than this, the test mule was featuring new alloys.

Under the bonnet, as of now, the company is offering 1.4-litre petrol engine and 1.3-litre DDIS diesel engine. Tried and tested oil burner comes mated with the company's Smart Hybrid Vehicle System (SHVS) technology to offer astounding performance. Expectations suggest the brand will continue with the same powertrain options and transmission trims including 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed automatic torque converter for the petrol engine. While a 5-speed manual unit for DDIS diesel engine. Chances are automaker could also offer AMT transmission with the diesel trim also.
The official detailings such as launch date and specifications of the new Maruti Ertiga are not revealed by the automaker yet. Still, we can expect the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will hit the Indian dealerships sometimes in next year, maybe in second-half of 2018.
