New Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 Surpasses 40,000 Units Bookings

The new Swift 2018 which is a flagship hatchback for the Maruti Suzuki were the most anticipated car among the major part of the audience and anticipated to be sold quickly post its launch. Similar is being witnessed with the pre-bookings of the third generation Swift that has been crossed over 40,000 units mark and keep increasing day by day. These figures are released via Maruti officials. It’s really surprising that several other manufacturers not been able to get that much sales throughout the year and this lately launched Swift 2018 at the Auto Expo has already attained that numbers. That called charm and its positive consequence.

As the bookings for the hatch has already been begun and the variant that is being preffered is the petrol VXi one as reported from Delhi dealerships. The waiting period for the registered model will depend on the selected drivetrain and colour option.

First time in Swift history, the carmaker is offering both petrol and diesel powertrains with manual as well as AMT transmission.

The price for the new Swift 2018 starts at INR 4.99 lakh for the LXi trim and goes up to INR 8.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the ZDi+ variant. In the segment, it will go in competition with the likes of Ford Figo and the Hyundai Grand i10.

Being manufactured at the brand’s manufacturing unit at Manesar, the Swift 2018 will be sold in the country through the Maruti Arena dealerships. Later on, its production will be taken care by its Gujarat facility alongside the brand’s premium hatch-Baleno.
