The flagship superbike model from Suzuki, the Hayabusa has always been a renowned name from the bikemaker across the globe, since its introduction in 1999. Almost from two decades, the motorcycle is being offered in similar form as it was at the time of its launch. Now the time has come to update the motorcycle thoroughly as its design too getting older.
Though, the news that the third-generation Hayabusa is under pipeline since long but it is not clear when it will hit the tarmac. However, expectations suggest the 2019 is the year of its arrival at the 20th anniversary of the superbike. From the sources of Motorcycle News motoring forum, it has been known that the new Hayabusa will witness both the aesthetic and mechanical update. Also, the details of the motorcycle have also been explained.
Furthermore, the emergence of a new semi-automatic transmission on the new Busa is also in question. Also, it will be a different unit from the DCT transmission being used on the Honda Africa Twin. Also, the surfaced reports revealing the AMT gearbox fitment via hands and externally.
Besides, the expected introduction of a launch control will support the less experienced riders to rider bike easily. The 1400cc displacement engine will get the aids of a turbocharged engine to increase the churned power.
At the electronic package, the next generation Hayabusa is likely to get fitted with features like multiple riding modes, ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, cruise control, cornering ABS and much more.
Design wise, the motorcycle is expected to continue with the similar design philosophy. However, we can witness some alterations to make the bike more aerodynamic in nature.
Expected to launch in 2019, the next-generation Hayabusa will be fitted with all the upmarket equipment to go in competition with its modern rivals.
