Next Generation Honda CR-V 2015 for India Launched in Europe

The Paris Motor Show 2014 was held this year in October and may automobile companies launched the facelifts and concept cars and among them the Honda CR-V 2015 model was also displayed. The facelifted version got many tweaks inside, outside and especially in mechanical parts. Honda has now launched this CR-V facelift in Europe and the Indian launch is also very much on the cards. It has been launched with an option of 9-speed automatic transmission system in it. Cosmetically, the car gets re-designed front headlights, grille, bumper, skid guard, LED tail lights and LED integrated DRLs on front. Coming inside the cabin, it has new 7-inch infotainment system, chrome inserts, sliding armrests for front seats and others as well.

Now mechanically, the all-wheel drive system has been powered by a 1.6 Litre diesel engine churning out 157 bhp power and 350 Nm torque. However, the older 1.6 Litre diesel engine with 118 bhp power is also available for 2WD variants. This new engine is mated with both, old 6-speed manual transmission system and a new 9-Speed automatic transmission system that reduces the CO2 emission by nearly 15% and replaces the 5-speed option, in 4WD though.

The 2WD variants will be available with the same 1.6 Litre diesel and 2.0 Litre petrol variants as they were before. The Indian market will be watching the launch of this CR-V 2015 facelift in the upcoming year, which is just a day ahead!
