The ongoing Paris Motor Show 2014 has some India bound cars as well and after the launching of the Maruti Suzuki Swift Facelift, it's the Mini Cooper 5-Door which is already on sale in the international market and will be making its debut in India later in 2014. The car has many upgrades in terms of mechanical and cosmetic features. The car has 3 engine options available that is 1.5 Litre Petrol with 134 PS and 219 Nm, 1.5 Litre Diesel with 114 PS and 269 Nm and a 4 cylinder 2.0 Litre turbo Petrol producing 189 PS power and 300 Nm of torque.
All the versions will get the same 6-speed manual transmission system and 6-speed automatic as an additional option as well. There also are 2 suspension options, namely comfort and sport in all the variants for the better drive. The car will be launched in the late 2014 according to the company's head in India, and the price too will be disclosed at the time of launch.
However, as the car will be brought to India via CBU route, there would definitely be the extra duty and charges thus making the car fairly expensive in India. The expected price of the this car could be around INR 25-30 Lac.
