The Mahindra-Peugeot collaboration is all set with its new offering, the Powerful Peugeot Metropolis 400, for its Indian Audience. The three-tier scooter from the factory of the French Automobile maker has raised a few eyebrows with its design and disk brake equipped three tires. The bold offering from the Indo-french partners promises to deliver both on design as well as the safe driving experience on the Indian roads.
As the name suggests, the Peugeot Metropolis 400 will be powered by a 400cc engine, churning up to 35.6 bhp of power and 28.1 Nm of torque. The beast’s energy store is the 13.5 liters fuel tank. The Three-tier scooter has already been unveiled in foreign markets. The semi-digital meter equipped scooter will make its India debut with a price tag of around 2.5 lakh rupees. USPs of the Metropolis 400 could be its maintenance free batteries, analog speedometer, tachometer, digital trip meter, a tempter, digital clock, digital fuel gauge, low fuel gauge etc.
Other important safety features include low fuel warning, service reminder, low oil indicator, battery indicator. The scooter will be launched in four color variants. However, the makers are tight-lipped on the possible price tag of this 258 kilograms powerhouse.
