Porsche Cayenne S Platinum Edition Launched in India at INR 1.26 Crore

Expanding its platinum range, the German luxury sports carmaker, Porsche has added two of Cayenne S models including both petrol and diesel variants. Below here are the prices of the respective variants (Both the prices are Ex-Showroom Mumbai):

The Platinum edition features a host of aesthetic updates including the 21-inch satin finish sport edition wheels in Platinum. Read on and go through the complete details of what's new on this special edition.

On the exterior, the other noteworthy details include a sporty appearance of Bi-Xenon headlamps with the Porsche DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), parking assist and anti-glare exterior wing mirrors. The carmaker has also added four new exterior shades besides the standard one. New colour schemes can be availed in - Jet Black, Mahogany, Carrara White and Rhodium Silver.

Moving on the inside, a ‘Platinum Edition’ lettering is engraved on the front entry guards and a Porsche badge on headrests. This special edition range gets heated front seats, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation, analogue clock fitted on the dashboard and Bose Sound System.

Beneath the front-end, all the specs of the platinum edition range remain identical to the outgoing models. The petrol version Cayenne will continue to get power from a 3.6-litre 6-cylinder bi-turbo engine which makes the maximum power of 420 hp. In return, it consumes between 9.8 and 9.5 litres fuel after every 100 kilometers, depending on the variant type.
On the other hand, the diesel-powered Cayenne S Platinum edition will be fitted with the same twin-turbocharged V8 engine which develops 385 hp on the tyres and returns a fuel mileage of between 8.2 and 8.0 litres per 100 km.
