Production-Spec Akula 310 is the New TVS Apache RTR 300

The fully-faired Akula 310, which was previewed earlier as a concept will be the new TVS Apache RTR 300, cleared by TVS Motor Co. By using its popular badge (Apache) for the production-spec bike, the company will be certainly expecting a huge positive response from the Indian masses. If nothing is going to be messed up, the motorcycle, which is BMW G310R inspired tourer would make its debut later in 2016.

From the revealed concept till now, the exterior silhouette of the product remains intact and we do expect that it will be retained in the final production version as well. Its aggressiveness is what makes the Akula rather Apache RTR 300 more vigorous and hostile. As per the design cues, long windshield, split seats, LED taillights, twin head lights, husky fuel-tank, and sturdy silencer would be some of its prominent styling bits. Other anticipations are optional dual-channel ABS, USD front fork and monoshock suspension at the rear and Pirelli tyres, which were there on the RTR 200 as well.

Powering the Apache RTR 300 is the same 313cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor that is there on the G310R. All power is transferred to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox. The existing mechanical figures stand for 34BHP of max power and 28NM of peak torque.

Talking about the rivalries, KTM RC390 and Hero HX250 are probably going to be the tough competitors for the newcomer in the present scenario.
