Since the time Honda Mobilio was announced and launched in the Indian market, the things were very good and hope for the car. And, the impact was so good that the other contemporaries of the Honda decided to take this MPV segment a bit seriously. Though, the company which has taken the thoughts to the next level is the French car maker Renault with its internationally acclaimed MPV Lodgy. The vehicle has already been spied testing on the Indian road and may see the launch date soon.
The MPV is based on the model of famous Renault Duster SUV, which is already a hit in the Indian market and has launched its 2nd anniversary edition just a couple of days back. The Lodgy will have the required features of a MPV and also the compatibility of today's need as well. The main features are new Duster type tweaked dash-board, chrome lining dials, touch screen infotainment system of 7 inch with bluetooth connectivity and satellite navigation. The engine is also very same which one is used in Duster, that is 1.6 Litre petrol engine and a 85 PS K9K turbo diesel engine.
On the international level, the Renault Lodgy has the one 110 PS engine and it produces the decent power of 108 bhp and 248 Nm torque to support the vehicles snappier geometry. Now, as the vehicle has been caught testing, the chances are very strong that it may get launched sometime near the festive season this year.
