Renault Kadjar To Be Displayed on February 2

The French automaker Renault has been in the news many times for its new C-Segment crossover car, and now the company has announced that it would be called Kadjar and will be displayed to the general population on February 2. The theory behind the name is the mixing of two names Kad and Jar. The 'Kad' is for the quad which means that the car will be available in 4 WD form and the 'Jar' is a french synonym of the English word Agile and hence demonstrating the off-road capabilities of the car. Also, the company says that the word K at the starting is the symbol of the model's robustness and strength.

Mechanically, the car would be available in the 2 drive formats that is 4x2 and 4x4 with only diesel engine to be offered with 1.5 Litre dCI engine and there also are chances that a 1.6 Litre powerful engine might get introduced as well. In terms of design, the car would be very similar to its Captur compact SUV, but will be smaller than Koleos in size.

As far as the launch of this car is concerned in India, then the reports are negative because the company is planning to launch Lodgy MPV and XBA mini car in the country and would be focused on that. Although the price of Renault Kadjar could be around INR 18 Lac in Europe with competition from cars like Suzuki Vitara and Nissan Qashqai.
