Renault Unveils F1-inspired Clio RS Hatchback

Renault has unveiled a new and ultimate version of the Clio RS hatchback. It is said that Renault will be using the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend to display the hot hatchback.

The car has been described as a “special Clio RS”, and it looks wilder and bolder than the regular standard Clio RS. It still comes with a five-door configuration. It has been developed to mark the automaker’s 40th birthday. It has been painted in yellow and black colour in order to team up with F1 cars.

Patrice Ratti, boss of Renault Sport Cars, says, “We have successfully completed this slightly crazy project to produce a car.It has been a joint effort by the Renault Sport Cars and Renault Sport Racing teams. This Clio RS intensifies the expertise of Renault Sport engineers whilst exploring new avenues for the future.”

We can’t say what powertrain it is wearing inside but it is likely to be more powerful than the Clio’s current 217bhp unit. It will be receiving upmarket suspension settings and a gearbox, while the current model comes with a six-speed paddle shifter.
