Kia spreaded lights over its latest Optima with plethora updates at the ongoing Seoul Motor Show 2015. Based on an all new platform, the wheelbase and width of this runabout have been increased by 10.16 mm and 25.4 mm, respectively to provide the spacious interior for its occupants. Moreover, Kia offers stiffer seat frame and higher quality of foam inside this vehicle with regard to its predecessor. The next generation Optima is the first vehicle from this South Korean company to include Bi-function HID headlights alongside Dynamic Bending Lights and high beam assist. The customers don't need to be tensed regarding their security as the car maker has brought spectacular safety features, such as Blind Spot Detection, Autonomous Emergency Braking, reverse assist, 360 degree camera and much more to keep them safe while traveling.
Power comes from a new 1.6 litre turbocharged four cylinder petrol engine that is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission and churns out 178 hp of power as well as 264 Nm of torque. A 2.0 litre and 2.4 litre units will also be available from its predecessor, while comprising increased fuel efficiency.
