Royal Enfield 650 Twins Sale Doubled in First Full Month at 629 Units

All new Royal Enfield 650 Twins which were launched in November 2018 registered double (around 2X) sales in the first full month of sale in December 2018. Last month, these newbies collected revenue for 629 units motorcycles over 325 units in Nov. 2018. The pre-bookings are growing day by day though some dealers are suggesting April 2019 as the month for deliveries against March 2019.

The Continental GT 650 could be considered an overhauled Original Continental GT with an improved design, power and thrilling performance. Riding the Continental GT 650 will give you an experience of British cafe racing from the 50s and 60s. Meanwhile, based on the Iconic ’60s Royal Enfield Interceptor, the new Interceptor 650 represent the sun-soaked California beach lifestyle.

Dimensionally, both the RE 650 Twins are identical in measurements such as 2,122mm x 1,165mm x 789mm (L*B*H) along with wheelbase and ground clearance at 1,400mm and 174 mm respectively. While they share common chassis and wheels as well. The 18” spoked wheels come wrapped up with Pirelli Phantom Sportcomp tyres 100/90 R18 front and 130/90 R18 rear.

The suspension setup comprises 41mm forks up front and 110mm distance travel with twin coil-over preload adjustment socks with 88mm at the rear. The braking mechanism on both the bikes is managed by 320mm front and 240mm rear dual disc brakes. While the feature of Anti-lock Braking System is a standard fitment.

The Interceptor 650 price starts at INR 2.89 lakhs for the Interceptor 650 with colour schemes- Baker Express (white and red) and Ravishing Red (red and black). The top end Glitter and Dust variant are put on sale at INR 3.10 lakhs thanks to bike’s expensive chrome work.

The colour choices like the metallic colours of Black Magic and Ventura Blue for the Continental GT 650 is priced at INR 2.75 lakhs. While the top of the line Dr Mayhem (grey and black) and Ice Queen (white and grey) paint scheme variant priced at INR 3.13 lakhs.
