Royal Enfield 750cc Continental GT Spied While Testing

Looks like this is the upcoming RE beast- the 750cc Continental GT. The pictures presented here are the spied images of the motorcycle when the bike was undergoing the test rounds in Britain. The captured snaps show the area somewhere near to the new technology center of Royal Enfield there.

Before proceeding ahead, it has to be cleared that the bike spotted is under development phase and the final outlook will probably get a fine livery and better finish. The rear section has been modified to fit in a bigger all-new engine, which is the most prominent change perceived on to the tourer.

Over a month before, a similar vague picture of the parallel-twin engine has been leaked of the same motorcycle, however, the 750cc stuff is the latest announcement by the CEO of RE, Siddhartha Lal. The company is trying to cover the global market by its middle-weight machines and thus the Chennai-based automaker is hoping over the 250cc to 750cc motorbikes. This is a slight hint of what they are up to, something, which they haven't done before.

Another interesting yet surprising thing noticed via the image is that the motorcycle features carburettors for real, not the imitative ones that we found on the Triumph models. Apparently, the bike will be made for the Indian automotive sector first as it is not fuel injected and the emission rules in India are much more lenient than European nations. The Royal Enfield Technology Centre in Britain was established a year back and this is going to be the first product to come from there. The launch details of Continental GT in India are not confirmed yet, but, it might get introduced next year.
