Second Generation R8 V10 Introduced by Audi

Audi has come up with an all new second generation R8 sports car. The lineup will include models like V10, V10 Plus and R8 e-tron. This sports car will soon be out for sale in the market. According to Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, who is a board member of the technical department at Audi, the concept of new Audi R8 closely resembles to a race car both in terms of control and display. Reportedly, the model is likely to be more powerful and fuel efficient than the earlier versions. Talking about the dimensions of this car, it will have a length of 174 inches, width of 76.4 inches and height of 48.8 inches. The first generation model has been brilliantly redesigned imparting the model a Modular Sport System (MSS). It is 100 pounds lighter in weight as compared to the first generation model with more space and comfort.

Audi R8 V10 Plus

The model has its tires fitted to a set of 10-spoke alloy wheels measuring 19 inches. The earlier V8 engine has been changed to a V10 engine. A standard model V10 will generate 540Hp and 398 lb-ft of torque, while in the V10 Plus model, 610 Hp and 413 lb-ft of torque will be generated. A battery powered model R8 e-tron is likely to join the lineup, which will be fully electric. An exclusive DL800 seven-speed dual clutch will be offered for automatic transmission. Different driving modes like- Dynamic, Performance and Comfort will also be available in this model.

From inside, the cabin is classy and sophisticated with a TFT screen placed in front of the driving seat. The steering wheel has buttons fitted on it for various functions like gear shifts, start/stop the engine, open exhaust flaps. Information regarding tire pressure and lap times also gets digitally displayed. LED headlamps come standard in all the models, while laser lights are optional.
