A compact Hyundai SUV has been seen testing on the roads of US. It is square in shape and the size of the vehicle is about the Kona, the smallest car sold by the South Korean automaker in the US market.
There are rumours that the spied SUV may be running alongside the Kona but to note that the Kona is an crossover while this one is a compact SUV.

This strategy is common for the Hyundai which is used to sell many models with the same segments. The engine of the upcoming Hyundai SUV will have the same powertrain and specs same as Kona and even the cabin will be the same as Kona to control the cost.
For the developed markets, this will most probably be the small SUV. countries like India have hyundai Creta and by 2019, the production version of QXi (sub 4 meters) Kia will also manufacture a same like the model and will replace the same segment.
