Suzuki would stop manufacturing its sports bike Hayabusa from December 31, 2018, as it has not followed the Euro4 emission norms. Suzuki Hayabusa, which won the title of world’s fastest production motorcycle in the world, now it’s time to say goodbye to its fans, as the company has officially announced its end of production information. It won the title of fastest. Hayabusa is also known with Busa, in the motorcycle segment that came with an update in 2008.
Suzuki has announced that it is the last slot of Suzuki Hayabusa as no further sports bike would be manufactured by Suzuki. The period will end on December 31, 2018, after that it will be illicit to sell Hayabusa bikes in Europe.
The engine of Hayabusa does not meet the standards of Euro4 emission as well as other safety regulations that play important role in the EU Regulation 168/2013, which was introduced on January 1, 2016, in Europe. The European Government gave 2 years of time to the bike manufacturers to sell the remaining stocks of their non-compliant models. In America, it will be available for purchase till next year while in Japan its production is being stopped.

Hayabusa was initially unveiled by Suzuki in October 1998 and it was the first bike to break the speed of 200 mph. It comes with an aerodynamic design that the company has not changed till now since the launch of the first generation model.
Mechanically, it has a 1340cc, liquid cooled, inline four-cylinder engine that churns out a power of 197 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 155 Nm of torque at 7,200 rpm. The transmission duties are being carried out by a 6-speed gearbox. To control power outputs, Hayabusa comes with Suzuki Drive Mode Selector allows the rider to select one out of three three engine control maps depending on various ride conditions.
Dual channel ABS is available in Suzuki Hayabusa. It has Brembo calipers along with 310 mm twin discs on the front side and a 260mm disc on the rear side. Suspension duties are being handled by 43mm KYB inverted front forks and link type suspension at the rear.

The weight of Hayabusa is 266 kilograms and has a 21 liter capacity of a fuel tank. Suzuki Hayabusa is available in three color options including blue with white graphics, white with black graphics and black with red graphics. The onboard impressive features of Hayabusa are instrument cluster with four round analog gauges displaying tachometer, speedometer, fuel meter and coolant temperatures. The round- shaped LCD display demonstrates the gear position, clock, trip meter and odometer. It competes against the likes of Kawasaki ZX-14R in a sports bike segment.
The completely knocked down (CKD) version of Suzuki Hayabusa will continue to be a sale in the Indian markets as the BS6 regulations will be implemented in 2020. In India, it was launched with a starting price of Rs.13,65,443.
