Suzuki Might Launch Electric Mini-Bike Extrigger in 2017

The Japanese multinational, Suzuki, is urging to reveal its electric mini-bike Extrigger next year and for that, it has already applied for patents in some countries.

Suzuki has unveiled the concept of this mini tourer for the first time at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. Unfortunately, it couldn't hit the production due to some specific reasons. Talking about the rivals, which made a bold entry in 2013, Honda Grom comes first. The Japanese two-wheeler giant has come up with this husky machine three years back. At that time, many of the competitors thought that Honda didn't make a nice move by launching Grom, but, eventually, the bike was warmly embraced by a wide community of bikers. Kawasaki Z125 Pro was again a big hit of that time and the manufacturer has recently launched the bike in the US Market two months back.

Though, Suzuki didn't show any potential about the manufacturing of Extrigger in that period, seems like the project is not going to be delayed furthermore. The production will be started soon as the automaker has applied for its copyrights in countries namely China, Europe, and the United States. The tiny tourer would be a top-notch for the urban bikers as it will take an electric heart that would make it entirely different from the rest of the machines. The concept bike was packed up with a 0.58 kWh battery that manages to generate a top speed of around 30 kmph. The anticipated global launch of the Suzuki Extrigger is in 2017.
