Tata Hexa Likely to be Launched on January 16, 2017

Tata motors has already revealed all the details of the upcoming premium Hexa SUV, and now some inside sources claim that the price of the vehicle will be announced on January 16, 2017. However, the homegrown carmaker hasn’t announced the official launch date yet. The pre-bookings for the car will be started from November 1, 2016. The report also suggests, the Hexa will be priced in the range of INR 12 - 16 Lakh and will lock the horn against the likes of Mahindra XUV500 and Toyota Innova Crysta. Upcoming Tata Hexa SUV range includes following six variants:
Tata Hexa XE (7-seater)
Tata Hexa XM (7-seater)
Tata Hexa XT (6- or 7-seater)
Tata Hexa XMA (7-seater)
Tata Hexa XTA (6-seater)
Tata Hexa XT 4x4 (6-seater)

The new Tata Hexa is built upon the company’s existing Aria platform and offers in both seven-seater layout and a unique six-seater arrangement. On dimension front, the all new Hexa SUV measures 4,788 mm in length, 1,903 mm in width and 1,791 mm in height along with the wheelbase of 2850 mm. It has a decent ground clearance of 200 mm and fuel tank of capacity 60-litre. Tata Hexa features a new design ideology with a more stylish flow and sleek outlook. The front fascia gets aggressive projector headlamps covered by LED DRLs. Tata Hexa is also decorated with additional accessories such as sporty alloy wheels, plastic wheel cladding, and long roof rails, as seen in the Auto Expo 2016.

Tata Hexa SUV Powered by VARICOR 400 Engine

The SUV will feature a 2.2-litre four-cylinder VARICOR 400 diesel motor which also powers the new Safari Storme, and capable of producing a maximum power of 154 bhp in combination with the 400Nm of torque. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels with the choice of a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox, AWD is also available as an optional.

Driving Modes & Assist Systems -

The automatic transmission setup includes four driving mode, namely Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road. These modes will be offered with both All Wheel Drive (AWD) and 2-Wheel Drive variants .

Explaining the modes, all the driving modes work along with the Electronic Stability Programme (EBS) and engine management system which further helps in identifying the driving conditions in Auto mode. While in Comfort mode the gearshifts and power output mainly focus on offering a hassle free driving experience. And the Rough mode helps you to stay on the track on the off-road conditions by providing better grip and traction.
