The New Generation Volvo Drive E-Engine Range from Volvo

The Swedish Company Volvo is known for the outstanding vehicles and top of the class technology, which drives its vehicles up to the new limits of speed and performance. The new Drive E-Engine vehicles will be available in both petrol and diesel variants and will be built in home country Sweden only. The company is willing to replace all the current engines with this new technology and the start product to feature this engine will be Volvo V40 D4 car.

The Volvo V40 D4 now will be available in the options of 2.0 Litre 188bhp turbo-diesel engine and a 242bhp T5 twin-turbo petrol engine. The new engine fit into it has the new Denso-developed injector pressure sensor system for better fuel efficiency and less toxic emissions. Also, the new engine could take the Volvo V40 from 0-100 km/h in just near about 7 seconds with the top speed of 225 km/h. The company has the future plans to bring its entire fleet of cars under the hood of this newly developed engine range.

The Volvo officials have also confirmed the fact of making the Drive-E engines as their signature engines and also, that they are developing the 4 petrol engines of power between 1550bhp-300bhp and 4 diesel engines with power 120bhp-230bhp. The development of new engines will primarily be getting done at the Sweden plant, but the global manufacturing place, China is also on the cards of the company for this new engine production.
