Toyota Corolla Altis Facelift Unveiled through Official Images

The Europe-based Toyota manufacturer has revealed few images of the upcoming Corolla facelift version. In India, it is badged as Corolla Altis. It is going to be on sale first in Australian auto market by the first half of the ongoing year and followed by the Indian market sometimes early next year.

Thanks to the images, which confirms some of the changes such as a sleeker shape of the headlamps and LED headlights on the top end variant. In addition, it comes equipped with new front grille, fog lamps flanked on the restyled bumper and newly design alloy wheels at the front profile. Moreover, the rear end has also been modified with LED tail lamps. The side profile will remain same as the predecessors.

The features of India-bound Altis is not clear yet, it might be disclosed later. As per the reports, the automaker has added some safety features in Australian version that are listed as LDA (lane departure alert), AHB (automatic high beam) and PCS (pre-collision system).

Mechanically, it could uphold the both petrol and diesel engine options. The former gets propelled by a 1.8-litre four-cylinder VVT-i unit, which is good for 138 Bhp of power and 173 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the latter will be powered by a 1.4-litre four-cylinder diesel trim, which is tuned to belt out a maximum power of about 90 Bhp and a peak torque of 205 Nm. A six-speed manual transmission option would be mated to the both engine.

The price can slightly increase for its updated features and attachments. Once launched, it will take on the rivals market namely Skoda, Chevrolet, Hyundai and Volkswagen.
