The growing demand for SUVS in India has given rise to a stiff competition among the automakers in the automobile market. Several companies are introducing their respective models with updated features in this particular segment so as to enjoy a larger market share. As a result, the automobile brand Toyota has also decided to introduce its compact SUV named Rush in India, which is expected to arrive by the year 2017. The expected price for this compact vehicle is reported to be around INR 12-15 lakhs.
Many a times, the car has been caught testing at various places in the country. Discussing the technical features, company has not revealed anything, but rumors say that it will feature a 2-DIN Head Unit CD player with tuner along with six speakers throughout the cabin, MP3, AUX jack, USB and Bluetooth. According to the market report, this vehicle will have the capacity to carry seven passengers in 3 row seats in which 2nd and 3rd will be foldable in 50:50 split.
As far as the exterior is concerned, the grille section is likely to be smaller in size as compared to the previous version. Apart from that, it is likely to carry 17-inch wheels, traditional headlights replaced by LED lights, modified bumpers and much more. On the safety front, this upcoming SUV will be equipped with front dual airbags and EBD. The Rush will get power from a 1.5 liter engine with DOHC WT-I technology that offers 109 lb-ft torque at 6000 rpm. Rest of the specifications of this model are expected to be revealed later by the automaker.
