Toyota has come up with the new Fortuner TRD Sportivo, which is said to be the second generation version of the popular Toyota fortuner. The new Sportivo version is unmatched to the previous version, undoubtedly it is fast and sporty inside-out. This new version will be launched in India by early 2017. The present TRD model already persists in the Indian market and soon the automaker will bring the newer Sportivo.
Talking about the new 2016 Fortuner TRD Sportivo, the front fascia gets a much sportier bumper followed by a smoked chrome grille. The SUV stands on large 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels. The TRD Sportivo has been offered with two color choice, namely, Black Mica and Pearl White. The exhaust too gets a TRD stainless steel makeover that makes it look more magnificent.
The interior offers generous space plus comes loaded with latest features under the instrument cluster. The cabin has received the TRD treatment as well. We can see TRD logo on the instrument console. The seats come with red and black leather upholstery. The dashboard comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes installed with Toyota’s T-Connect support and navigation system. The infotainment unit is further connected to the JBL speaker unit.
However, The TRD Sportivo version gets the same 2.8-litre diesel engine, which also powers the present models. It churns out a maximum power output of 177 hp at 3,400 rpm and a peak torque of 450 Nm. The engine is paired to a 6-Speed automatic transmission along with paddle shifters. Additionally, this version gets TRD Sportivo suspension units, Sigma 4WD system, and larger disc brakes in order to boost the overall performance of the vehicle.
