Triumph India Announces Six New Motorcycles by June 2019

Triumph India recently announced the inclusion of six new motorcycles in country’s lineup by June next year. It will be a bunch of a few new and updated/facelift models of the existing bikes as confirmed by the British manufacturer. Out of six, three models are already known, consisting the updated Street Twin, Street Scrambler and Scrambler 1200. Triumph Scrambler 1200 is slated to launch globally in October while it will hit the Indian dealerships by January 2019. Remaining three are expected to mark their appearance at the upcoming INTERMOT and EICMA show this year.

Triumph India consists of a series of models in different biking categories namely retro classic, naked street, scrambler and ADV motorcycles ranging from INR 7.7 lakh to Rs 22 lakh. Other than expanding Indian product portfolio, the brand is also aiming to expand its reach to a large customer base by inaugurating more outlets in tier-2 cities across India. Currently, the Triumph India possess a dealership network of 16 outlets that is planned to touch 25 dealerships in coming three to four years.

Triumph Motorcycle UK and Bajaj Auto’s alliance to serve global, as well as domestic markets, was announced last year. Somewhere it relates to brand’s dealership network expansion in order to consume products in 250-700cc displacement (mid-capacity). Not only the metro cities but also small cities will be availed with forthcoming mid-capacity bikes. Here in India, these bikes are likely to launch by 2021 and will be served through Bajaj’s Pro Biking showrooms as expected.
