The Italian motorcycle maker has expanded its Indian product lineup by introducing an off-road motorcycle as the Triumph India, yesterday, has officially launched the 800 XCA variant in Tiger lineup in Indian two-wheeler market at Rs. 13.75 lakh (Ex. Showroom Delhi). It is a range-topping model of Tiger XC range that are positioned above the Tiger XCx. Now, the Triumph India Adventurer line-up consisting of Tiger 800, Tiger 800 XC, Tiger 800 XCx, Tiger 800 XR, Tiger 800 XRx and the newly launched Tiger 800 XCA. The Triumph is offering XCA in two new color options, Khaki Green and Crystal White.
The Tiger XCA 800 also boasts a larger capacity 650W alternator to power several electrical components such as heated rider and pillion seats, heated grips, LED fog lights and other ancillary devices such as GPS system or heated clothing. In addition, the new motorcycle has received some standard equipments to improve its off-road capabilities, while the technical and mechanical parts remain the same as the new variant continues with the same motor that powers the Tiger XC range.
Power for the Tiger XCA 800 comes from a liquid-cooled, 800cc in-line three-cylinder engine that returns 94 BHP and 79 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission. The new variant is featured with an aluminum pannier frame, off-road tyres and front fender making it an off-road oriented motorcycle. The adventure motorcycle comes equipped with a Traction Control System, switchable ABS and ride-by-wire throttle with programmable ride modes. The high mounted handlebar and well-cushioned seat making it an excellent off-road motorcycle in Tiger 800 range.
