The renowned company, Triumph is famous for manufacturing the sports racing bikes. Its first motor bike has introduced in 2013 in India with 10 offerings and the Indian buyers show good interest in it. Nowadays, Auto-market of India is spreading, to consider this, the company is planning to launch its global products in the country. According to the report, 1050R has been imported to India for homologation purpose. The 1050R will be the updated version of speed triple sold in India, while barrow the same looks and stance from the standard version.
Dimension-wise, it measures 2100mm of length, 795mm of width and 1110mm in height with a wheel base of 1435mm. The bike gets power from the 1050cc liquid-cooled, 12 valve, inline three cylinder engine that develops the 135 PS of power and 111Nm of torque and engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This model harness a double tube, twin spar design frame known as stiffer and lighter, for a clear vision. The motorcycle is equipped with front ohline 43 mm USD forks and rear ohlins twin tube monoshock suspension. The stopping duties are managed by a front 320 mm floating disc with 4 piston calipers and 255 mm rear disc with 2 piston callipers.
The Speed Triple 1050R will tough compete against Yamaha FZ1, Kawasaki Z1000, Suzuki GSX-S1000. The expected price of this vehicle is INR 13-14 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will be imported to India via CBU route.
