TVS-BMW To Launch Range of 300cc Motorbikes in Few Weeks

The German motorcycle maker, BMW Motorrad, has confirmed that they will be unveiling their small engined motorcycle in the next few months. The small engine motorcycle from the TVS-BMW built on the same platform and features the same design that will be 100% engineered by the German automaker, while TVS will only provide its skills to produce the motorcycles with first quality at a cost effective price. The BMW has already sent its six sports motorcycles to TVS India for the testing. It is expected that the firm might be showcased the models at the forthcoming 2015 Milan Motorcycle Show this November.

Karl Viktor Schaller, Head of Engineering at BMW Motorrad says that the company will introduce a range of 300cc motorcycles in the country. In his recent interview, he added, "There will be multiple models based around the same platform. With development costs so high this is the best way of increasing efficiency." Speaking about the new range of 300cc motorcycles, Mr Schaller says that these motorcycles will be small in capacity, and will be less powerful than traditional BMW motorbikes, they will have the same DNA as a BMW motorcycle. "It may have less horsepower but it has the same engine behaviour and this will be a very nice bike," he adds.

With the range of small engined motorbikes, the German firm is aiming to grab the maximum attention from the buyers and will help the German giant to thrive in new markets across the globe. Apart from these models, Indian riders are also waiting to catch the company's all-new BMW Motorrad, with its Roadster concept. Presently BMW Motorrad is not officially available in India.
