As soon as the festive season started, one of the largest two-wheeler markets- India has been flooded with the new arrivals as well as from the revived range of existing product of the country’s major brands. And it will continue throughout the festive season. In the same phase, TVS Motors has also introduced fresh colours for its commuter motorcycles-the StaR City+ and the Sport.
The StaR City+ has now got a new ‘Spotlight White’ shade While the Sport has been painted with the ‘Black Sliver’ option. With this introduction, the automaker is eyeing to receive a healthy customer response in the festive season.
These new additions have extended the colour range for the TVS StaR City+ to eleven, which include Black Gold, Black Silver, White Gold, Chocolate Gold, Black Blue, Titanium Grey, Matte Grey, Oscar Black, Show-Stopper Blue, Spotlight White and Celebrity Scarlett. And the TVS Sport colour range comprises of White Blue, White Green, White Red, Black Red, Mercury Grey, Team Blue, Black Green, Red and Black Silver, total nine in a count.
Both the motorcycles are retaining the similar powertrain from its existing models. Being priced at INR 44,300 and INR 49,459 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the StaR City+ is powered by a single-cylinder engine that produces 8.4PS power and delivers 8.7Nm torque with the incorporated four-speed manual gearbox transmission. On the other end, the Sport is displaced with a slight lower powertrain of 100cc that is capable of churning 7.8PS power and 7.8Nm torque. All the generated power is dispatched to the rear wheel via the similar four-speed gearbox of the StaR City+. The commuter is being retailed at the price tag lies between INR 36,880 and INR 46,074 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
In terms of mileage, both the bikes are claimed to offer a long travel range of 86 kmpl and 95Kmpl for the StaR City+ and Sport respectively.
