All-New TVS NTorq Launched in India at INR 58,790 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

Ultimately the day has come and the most awaited 125cc TVS scooter that was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, has been rolled in its full-fledged iteration. It is named as the TVS NTorq and is priced at INR 58,790 (ex-showroom, Delhi). As claimed by the bikemaker, the scooter is meant for young generation audience (including 18-24 years old male, college student and young professionals) who are tech-savvy and active on social media network TVS says them, the Gen Z. Also, this aggressive yet sportier NTorq 125 is blessed with numerous technical aspects. For the first time in the segment in India, the scooter is equipped with the SmartXonnect that is a Bluetooth-enabled connectivity option that allows the rider to connect through its Android smartphone.

The new TVS NTorq 125cc scooter is powered by a new CVTi-REVV unit that is displaced with 124.78cc volume. This 4-stroke, 3-valve, air-cooled SOHC engine is capable of generating the maximum power of 9.3 bhp at 7,500 rpm and the peak torque of 10.5 Nm via mated CVT transmission. The NTorq can easily attain the top speed of 95kmph.

Other than this, developed under the supervision of TVS Racing, the new TVS NTorq 125 features fully digital instrument cluster that offers information like navigation assist, top-speed recorder, in-built lap-timer, service reminder, trip metre, engine oil temperature and multi-modes such as street and sport. In addition to that while connected to your smartphone, the LCD display also showcases things like phone battery strength, last parked location assist, and more.

Apparently, draws designing inspiration from a stealth aircraft, the TVS NTorq 125 is bold and edgier in design. The scooter is being offered in dual tone paint scheme with TVS racing sticker on it. The company offering four colours to choose your favourite one. The components which complete the scooter are a swanky headlamp cluster, LED tail lamp and machined-alloy wheels. Moreover, the front petal disc brake is there for rider and pillion safety while the engine kill switch is first in segment offering from the Chennai based auto major.

This highly equipped with modern techs scooter will go in competition with the likes of Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125 and the upcoming Aprilia 125 in this price segment.
