UM Motorcycles Renegade Series India Launch at Delhi Auto Expo

As the January month passing and approaching nearer to the forthcoming Auto Expo at Delhi in the first week of February, the automakers trying to grab the attention of the audience by press conference, teaser videos and images on the official websites, social media and many more. The American motorcycle maker, UM Motorcycles which is all set to debut its cruiser segment motorcycles of Renegade series- Renegade Commando, Renegade Sport S and Renegade Classic at the forthcoming auto event.

Mr. Rajeev Mishra – Director - UM India & AMEA (Asia, Middle East, and Africa), stated while press conference,“We are thrilled and excited to bring our world-class Renegade range of cruisers, which have been designed and customized for the Indian market. The Renegade series will give Indian buyers a taste of high quality, world class cruisers which are built to tackle the diverse Indian terrain with ease and finesse. UM Motorcycles stand for design, innovation and quality all at affordable prices. We are confident that India will be delighted with our product offerings. While this would be our second time at India’s Auto Expo, having already participated in the Auto Expo 2014, we are extremely excited to finally chart our official entry into India.”

Let's have a glance over the Powertrain of the Renegade Series, The UM Renegade Commando is a cruiser bike which gets the propelling power of 25 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 21.8 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm from a 279cc single-cylinder water cooled engine that is coupled to a six-speed transmission. In terms of styling it is a retro looking cruiser with round headlight, upright handlebar, comfortable seating position with split seat, wire spoke wheels with fat tyres.

The Renegade Sport S and Renegade Classic shares the same engine from the Renegade commando. Suspension duties performed on all the Renegade motorcycles by the telescopic suspension and the dual shock absorber at the rear end. While braking duties taken care by disc brake in front and drum at rear wheel in all motorcycles.

UP based Lohia Auto is in partnership with the UM Motorcycles and the manufacturing of the UM Motorcycles is underway at the Kashipur production facility in Uttarakhand which will really help the government initiative of ‘Make in India’. The company start contacting dealers across the country and booking for the Renegade motorcycles will start after its debut at the Auto Expo.
