UM Motorcycles to Unveil 2 Variants of Renegade Commando at Auto Expo 2016

Miami based bike maker, UM Motorcycles, has announced the launch of their first product in the Indian market. The UM Renegade Commando will make its grand debut at the upcoming Auto Expo in Greater Noida on February 2016. The company confirmed that the cruiser model will be unveiled in two variants. Reports stated that UM Motorcycles, besides Renegade Commando, could also showcase more models at the Auto Expo. Back in 2014, the auto-manufacturer had gone for a chunk of products at the same event, which included the Renegade Commando, Renegade Sport, Renegade Duty and Xtreet.

Technical section proposes that the predictable Renegade Commando will probably get its power from a 300cc, counterbalanced, single-cylinder engine, which is expected to propel 24 BHP of power. Some other notable features of the cruiser include- Shinier, matte paint polishes, USB charging port and mirrors with blind spots. The motorcycle will be priced around INR 1.5 lakhs and as for the details about variants, we have to wait.

Lohia Auto, UP-based partner with United Motorcycles will initiate the production at its new plant in Kashipur, Uttrakhand, with the target of producing one lakh units in a year. The former has only given the responsibility for the manufacturing of the bikes and all other operations like R&D and sales & service network would totally be under the control of UM Motorcycles India. The brand will also launch Renegade Classic and Renegade Sport, alongside Commando, as mentioned in an earlier report. Though, the models that are to be launched, would perceive some mechanical modifications as compared to the ones that were introduced at the 2014 Auto Expo.
