The audio and infotainment company, Harman has bagged the contract for supplying its infotainment system to Maruti Suzuki. The automaker will assemble the Harman infotainment unit in the upcoming Maruti suzuki Ignis model. It boasts that the system offers a special Human Machine Interface (HMI) with integrated navigation and connectivity features.
Additionally, the Ignis system also supports the Apple CarPlay along with the voice-recognition functionality. In India, Maruti has been using different infotainment systems that offer the SmartPlay feature. Maruti Suzuki Ignis concept was recently showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo a couple of months earlier and the automaker is likely to launch this car by the festive season.
This upcoming compact SUV will be powered by a 1.0 litre Booster Jet engine along with the 1.2-litre K-Series DualJet engine. We can expect the New Ignis in a suitable avatar offering better features for the Indian market.
