As per a report in Autocar India, the new generation Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is going to be launched at Indian shores by the mid of 2017. This SUV was displayed recently at Bangkok International Grand Motor Sale, which took place on 1st of August. It flaunts a wide array of equipments along with captivating exterior as well as interior portions. Dimensionally, it measures 4,785 mm long, 1,815 mm wide and 1,805 mm tall. The wheelbase and ground clearance on offer are 2,800 mm and 218 mm respectively.

The front end boasts off an X-shaped grille flanked by a pair of sleek headlights, LED daytime running lights, sporty bumper, revised fog lamps and air dam. At the rear, it receives a wide windshield, tail light cluster and a revamped lift gate that houses a chrome stripped license plate. Moving on to the cabin, features like leather upholstery, multi-functional steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment facility, and a flowing center console are found. Certain portions including the console, ac vents, door panels and steering also get silver accents on them.
Discussing the mechanical configuration, power will be sourced from a 2.4 litre MIVEC turbocharged diesel motor integrated with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. This transmission facility will be linked to an all new Super Select 4WD that comprises an Off-road mode and Hill Descent Control. As per the automaker's claims, this upcoming SUV is going to be 17 % more fuel efficient as compared to its predecessor with a CO2 emission rating of less than 200 gm/km.
It will arrive in India via CKD route and later will be assembled at Hindustan Motor's facility located in Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. Three different variants will be available in the lineup namely- GLS, GT 2WD and GT 4WD. The price bracket is expected to lie between INR 20.82 Lacs to INR 26.52 Lacs.
