Upcoming Tata Tiago Specifications at a Glance

Tata Motors' upcoming model Zica, which has been recently re-named as Tata Tiago has been constantly gaining a lot of limelight nowadays. After a long gap, the company is bracing itself to start another innings in the Indian auto market. Many non-performing models have been discontinued, while others have been updated. Moreover, the company has also signed the football star Lionel Messi as its Global Brand Ambassador. Although, the hatch has been unveiled time and again at various platforms, some more details have been disclosed, which are listed as follows:

Powertrain

This Tata offering will be packed with all new engine configuration under its hood consisting of both petrol and diesel mills. The former will be fitted wih a 1.2 litre, 3-cylinder DOHC aluminium unit, which is tuned to generate 83.8 Bhp of maximum power along with 11.6 kg of peak torque. Moving on to the diesel variant, it is powered by an all new 1.05 litre, 3-cylinder DOHC aluminium unit with a cast iron block that makes 69Bhp and 14.2 kg of maximum output. Transmission duties will be performed by a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Wheels and Suspension

The lower variants in the lineup will be standing on 14-inch steel wheels, while the top ranging ones would come with a14-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in 175/65R14 tubeless tyres. As far as the suspension is concerned, the front will get an independent facility with McPherson struts accompanied by coil springs. On the other hand, the rear suspension will be semi-independent with twist beam. It will also be fitted with disk brakes at the front and drums at the rear portion.  

Safety features

The safety of the occupants will be taken care of by a host of fitments like dual front airbags, speed-sensing auto door locks, engine immobilizer, ABS and EBD accompanied by corner stability control.
