Updated Renault Kwid Introduced In India At Rs 2.66 lakh

Renault has introduced the updated version of Kwid in India. The starting price of the 2018 Renault Kwid remains unwavering at Rs 2.66 lakh considering base variant of 800cc and reaches to Rs 4.59 lakh considering the top-spec 1.0-litre trim.

Coming to the outer appearance, the refurbished Kwid obtains a new grille design and chrome finish on the top-spec variants. The Kwid is equipped with six exterior paint scheme choices. The rear seat belts are fitted with the Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) as standard across all the variants.

The top-spec Kwid RXT (O) is fitted with a reverse camera, whereas the Kwid AMT obtains Traffic Assist feature like the other car manufacturers to provide the creep function on AMT cars.

The Kwid RXL trim is equipped with a remote central locking system and front power windows as the standard setup. Further, top-spec variants such as the RXT (O) obtains chrome finish to the center console and a 12V socket in relation to a rear center armrest.

This Kwid update is part of Renault’s many plans and consists safety features as well such as rear parking sensor and ABS as speculated to come as an add-on with the new Kwid model. Furthermore, the company is also working to start production on a facelift version of the Renault Kwid which is relevant to the crash-test ahead of new rules to reflect it compulsorily in 2020.

The Renault Kwid comes equipped with a four-year/1,00,000km warranty, which comprises the normal two-year/50,000km extended warranty setup. The Renault Kwid will compete for the Maruti Alto, the Hyundai Eon, and the Tata Tiago in India.
