The launch of next generation Beetle was celebrated in a glamorous event hosted by Volkswagen India with none other than Shahid Kapoor as the special guest. The event also witnessed presence of costume designer Kunal Rawal. The stage was constructed beautifully with a theme based on the new Beetle. Moreover, there was also a fashion show in which models were seen donning beautiful costumes designed by Kunal. Apart from these two, many other celebs like Dino Morea, Sonakshi Sinha, Nandita Mahtani and Jacky Bhagnani attended the show.

Shahid Kapoor had a special entry to the stage in a white colored Beetle with charming looks and even posted the picture on his FB Page. On the occasion, the Shandaar fame actor was quoted as saying, “As an automobile enthusiast, the Beetle is something that I grew up with because at the core of it lies fun and freedom. The 21st Century Beetle has style, sophistication, freshness and a charm that comes so naturally to it. I'd like to congratulate Volkswagen India on this launch and wish them luck for a successful run in India.”

The new Beetle has been launched at INR 28.73 Lacs and is fitted with marvellous features. It is high on comfort as well as style and runs on a 1.4 litre TSI engine clubbed to a 7-speed DSG facility. The 16-inch alloys, tweaked bumpers and rear spoiler make it quite a trendy offering and make you want to drive around in it.
